Coconut is a tropical woody oil plant of the palm family. When the coconut meat is dried, it becomes copra, with a moisture content reduced to 6%-10%. Copra contains 57%-75% fat and can be used to produce coconut oil through traditional pressing methods. The coconut cake, left after oil extraction from copra, can be used as animal feed. Coconut meat can also be processed into coconut flour, desiccated coconut, and other food products.
Coconut oil production includes pre-treatment, pressing, and refining. Pressed coconut cake can be used as animal feed. Solvent extraction units reduce residual oil to below 0.8%.
The copra oil extraction production line mainly includes three processes: pre-treatment, oil pressing, and refining.
Copra → Cleaning → Crushing → Cooking → First Pressing → Second Pressing → Crude Oil
Crude Copra Oil → Filtration → Phosphoric Acid Degumming → Deacidification → Decolorization → Deodorization → Finished Oil
The copra oil extraction production line mainly consists of the crushing section, cooking section, oil pressing section, degumming section, deacidification section, decolorization section, and deodorization section.
Copra Moisture Content: It should be controlled between 7%-10%, otherwise it is not conducive to oil pressing.
